WHAT ARE THE LEADING CAUSES FORCING ANIMALS TO EVOLVE/ADAPT?
When you think carefully about this question the answer is quite simple. Climate change and humans are the driving force behind modern day adaptation. Human’s greed to monopolise everything is causing huge amounts of animals’ habitats to be destroyed. In most cases the affected organisms then have to then move somewhere else and change to fit the new conditions. Climate change is causing the globe to warm, which starts to melt away many Arctic and Antarctic animals’ habitats. For example polar bears have learnt how to swim so they won’t drown when the ice inevitably melts. Extinction is a result of animals not being able to adapt to the horrible things we are doing to their food supplies and their habitats. Animals can only adapt to such a degree, so if we keep destroying their habitats more and more to a point where there’s practically no space left for them to inhabit then most of the animals on the planet will become extinct.
